Friends School Spring Family Camping Trip
May 14-15, 2011
This trip is set up so your family can just “show up” with a minimum of preparation. We provide all the food and group gear (including backpacks, sleeping bags & pads, tents, cookware and stoves, water purification, etc.). On the trip, we’ll hike 1/2 mile from our vehicles to a campsite where we’ll set up camp just like on a backpacking trip—tents for each family, collecting firewood from area, purifying water, cooking gourmet food on a cook stove or fire, hanging food out of the reach of animals at night, etc. There will be opportunities for day hikes, relaxation, games, exploring the woods, reading, storytelling, etc.
Though we’ll all be working in community to get our camp tasks done, my goal is to be like a concierge in the woods so you and your family can relax and have a great time in the wilderness!
All ages are welcome. Please contact us for more information on pricing.

Please read our gear list for this trip, noting that we ask participants to wear non-cotton clothing. Participants can also rent backpacks, sleeping bags, and sleeping pads from Sure Foot Adventures. Contact us for package pricing for this trip.
