Arbor Montessori Spring Backpacking Trip

April 30 - May 2, 2010

This year, we will explore the Savage Gulf Natural Area in Tennessee. This park holds spectacular scenery: waterfalls, wild rivers, canyons replete with overlooks, caves, springs, and even a historic homestead site nestled in a remote hollow. We hike 4-6 miles with packs each day, set up camp, and cook communally each evening.

Gear

Please read our gear list for this trip, noting that we ask participants to wear non-cotton clothing. On this, all backpacks, sleeping bags, and sleeping pads are included in the fees.

Food

As the trip approaches, we’ll choose our meals and snacks as a group. Please read the food options list below for more information.

Legal & Medical

All families must complete and sign a legal waiver by the day of the trip. Also, families must submit a completed and signed medical information form by Wednesday, April 28, 2010. This form can be completed online or downloaded and mailed to Sure Foot Adventures.

Photos & Social Networking

After your trip, you will receive a CD of photos. However, we will also be posting photos to Facebook on the Sure Foot Adventures page.
